A woman named her child Sonora Rose today. Sonora means "sound." It reminds me of the sound of you shuffling papers while we spoke about the events happening in our lives. Our new librarian is wonderful...you would adore her. Her affinity for animals--especially dogs--is astounding. She cries like we did when the pets die in movies. Thank God you never saw "The Fox and the Hound."
The new Phish album leaked today. Whenever I hear Phish I'm reminded of the time I dated this hippie guy. He wasn't as crazy cool as your husband John, but he was pretty close.
Britney Spears is doing her "Circus" tour. Le sigh. That is all I have to say about that.
Jon and Kate plus whatever the amount of kids they have are getting on my nerves. They are the reason people want to cancel their cable. You had two children and didn't screw them up at all. So what kind of ratio is it that these two ding dongs screw up their children completely. Sometimes I think the world is allowing too much to happen that kids can be exploited like this.
They are finally writing about Tyli'a Mack even though it happened in August. Apparently a transgender woman isn't news until two people are killed. She was absolutely beautiful. Could you even imagine having those lips? I know we constantly complain about our mouths--little upper lips. This woman was beautiful, and her eyes speak more than people do in their every day lives. What price would anyone give for their lives? Information on her is only worth $25,000 apparently. She is worth more than that.
The Station Fire is horrid. Can you even imagine what it is like for the people living there? I have no words. They are losing everything. Even though we talk about materials not being important, there are some things we cannot leave behind.
Ethiopia. Enough said. How can we complain about the cost of gasoline or anything else when people are dying of something we only take Pepto for? I'm guilty of this, too. Why was I complaining about buying pencils and the fact that my kids don't bring them ever? Sometimes I need to remember that I am blessed and not act complain at all. If you were here, you would have reminded me not to be such an idiot.
